Talents Day – Grade 10 Girls

 

“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”

The Talents Day Program for Grade 10 Girls was held in the senior auditorium on 3rd of October, 2023, under the theme of  ‘Vasdhaiva Kutumbakam’ (The world is one family) – The G20 Summit . The event commenced with a warm welcome and a short introduction to the theme of the program by Haniyah Salim, Manasvi Manoj and Annanya Rajesh followed by a mind blowing Ghoomar Dance by the members of student council.

The Cultural Segment of the program was taken over by Shashini Manikendan and Nandini Ravi. The segment commenced with the students of 10A displaying the culture and tradition of Spain, with a graceful flamenco, followed by the students of 10B presenting a time travel story based on the culture and tradition of Great Britan and Ireland. Moving on to Brazil, the students of 10C spread the football fever. Next on stage were the students of 10D with a traditional dance on the Afghani culture. Moving on to the North American state of Mexican Republic, the students of 10E performed a beautiful salsa and then students of 10F flying over to the French Republic in Europe and final culminating in the Far Eastern Countries of Soth Korea (10G) with K-pop followed by the People Republic of China (10H) with their traditional and contemporary performance of martial arts and C- pop.

Concluding the first segment, the show proceeded on to a ramp walk highlighting on environmental and social issues. The models and designers were challenged with a question round.

Moving on to the third segment, one of the most exciting segments, DPS Sharjah’s first Film Festival, a myriad of films made on global peace and unity left the audience enthralled.

The event was judged by two prominent pioneers of cultural excellence. Ms.Sawmya Gadge and Smt. Guru Sawmya Vipin.

Talent’s Day was a resounding success , bringing or community together and showcasing the incredible talents of or students .
